Join us on the transformation unleashed by generative and physical AI! However, AI data centers consume a great deal of power and generate a lot of heat. Therefore, components and sensors are needed to push computing performance and energy efficiency to new heights while optimizing the optical connection and thermal management across the entire data center. Leveraging decades of experience in the industrial and automotive sectors, TDK provides the solutions and the expertise to cover the entire AI data center infrastructure.

“From the grid to the core, we support the entire AI data center with a comprehensive portfolio of passive components, sensor solutions, and DC-DC converters. Our solutions enable energy-efficient, high-performance systems across the complete infrastructure, from solid-state transformers and power supply units to integrated bus converters for 800 V HVDC and 50 V architectures, lateral and vertical power delivery, integrated voltage regulators, liquid-cooling systems, and high-speed optical interconnects right at the core.”

AI Infrastructure highlights

Solid-state transformers

Many different components and solutions are embedded in a modular and scalable solid-state transformer (SST) from one of TDK’s customers. It features silicon carbide (SiC) devices and proprietary high-frequency modules, ensuring bidirectional power flow with higher efficiency and reduced grid strain in a compact form factor, enabled by TDK components.

Datacenter cooling

TDK supports reliable and efficient liquid-cooling systems for AI servers and data centers with a broad portfolio of technologies for coolant distribution units (CDUs), including temperature and pressure sensors for monitoring the liquid-cooling circuit, TMR sensors for precise angle detection in valve-control motors, EMC filters for effective electromagnetic interference suppression and enhanced system reliability.

Optical transceiver

By using a mock-up, TDK demonstrates its ability to supply the necessary passive components and sensors for optical transceivers used in data-intensive AI communications, as well as its ability to integrate these components into a single system using its proprietary multilayer aluminum nitride substrate.

Dexterous robotic hand

Powered by TDK’s advanced sensor technology and AI-driven smart perception, the Nibotics Dexterous Hand redefines precision in robotic manipulation. With human-like dexterity and the ability to sense pressure, force, slip, texture, shape, and temperature in real time, the hand can perform complex handling tasks with uncompromising control, performance, and sophistication. This sets a new standard for physical AI in industrial automation.
