“‘In Everything, Better’ means for TDK to offer the most comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the two major transformations in the automotive industry. We have been pioneering powertrain electrification from the start, and we offer the most extensive selection of signal filters and power management components for high-performance computing in software-defined vehicles.”

Automotive highlights

 1 Traction inverter Pic

Traction inverter mock-up

This mock-up unites key TDK technologies to create efficient, high-performance electric drive systems. One highlight is the new AC-phase current sensor CUR 3020, supporting efficient inverter operation and maximizing vehicle range. The demonstrator also integrates high-capacitance-density DC-link capacitors to ensure stable current flow and achieve a compact design, as well as EMC filters to achieve electromagnetic compatibility and magnetic rotor position sensors to provide precise motor commutation.

 2 Software-defined vehicle Pic

Software-defined vehicle

To build the backbone of the software-defined vehicle, TDK showcases how its common-mode chokes and power-over-coax inductors enable reliable high-speed connectivity, signal integrity, and efficient power delivery for the growing number of cameras and sensors in Zonal ECU architectures.

High brightness RGB laser beam projector

TDK showcases a compact, MEMS-based laser beam scanning technology that enables bright, high-contrast, full-color projections. Designed for high optical performance, a small footprint, and low power consumption, this technology creates new possibilities for presenting information to drivers and passengers by establishing intuitive human-machine interfaces in software-defined vehicles.

 4 Global EMC testing Pic

Global EMC testing expertise with local presence

In early 2027, TDK opens a completely new EMC lab in Regensburg, Germany. Learn more about this new lab and TDK’s EMC services. Besides this new European facility, TDK operates several accredited EMC labs in all major regions, such as Japan, China, and the United States.
